  • Nard, nard, and more nard, but with a special touch. It’s a very linear white floral that highlights the sweet, buttery facet of the nard, though it has a subtle green, wet, and woody halo where the wood itself is green. This side of the scent becomes more prominent over time but never dominates. In the end, there’s a hint of calone that gives it an aquatic note. On my skin, it worked great, projecting for 3 hours and lasting about 7 in total. I think it’s suitable for any occasion and season, although it shines more in spring and summer. Due to its strong floral aspect, it could be considered quite feminine, but I see it as perfect for a man, especially in summer. Despite not being a huge fan of nard, the greenery of this perfume conquered me; it gives it a wild look that typical florals, which evoke that composure associated with femininity, lack. In that sense, Tuberosa evokes for me an untamed jungle where many plants are in bloom rather than a nursery or rose garden, and I appreciate it for that. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 10/10 Original: 5/10

  • Pure nard, but with a special twist: a linear white floral that highlights the sweet, buttery nature of the flower, although it has a green, wet, and woody halo where the wood is green, not dry. Over time, that green side gains strength without taking over everything. In the end, it smells like calone and adds an aquatic touch. On my skin, it projects for 3 hours and lasts about 7. It works well for any season, but it shines more in spring and summer. Although it’s floral and could seem feminine, I see it as perfect for a man in summer. Despite not being a fan of nard, its greenery conquered me; it gives it a wild air that other, neater florals don’t have. For me, it smells more like an untamed jungle in bloom than a rose garden, and that’s what I like. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 7/10 Versatile: 10/10 Original: 5/10

Nard-based perfumes aren’t my thing, but Tuberosa is a different story. It opens with a bold, powerful floral blast, but soon wraps itself in exquisite sweetness, likely thanks to the sandalwood, which I adore, and perhaps some hidden notes. The most surprising thing is that, compared to other Parfums Signature scents, this is the one that lingers longest on my skin; I can still smell it even after a shower, something its siblings lack. It sounds more feminine than masculine, but as Coquita says, it’s fantastic for a guy in spring-summer. It caught me off guard because I’m not usually drawn to florals, yet it blends divinely with my skin. A very good, elegant, and simple creation from that old house now led by Jean-Claude Ellena.

Normally I don’t like nard-based perfumes, but Tuberosa is another story. It has a clear, powerful, and linear opening that reminds me of the flower, but soon it wraps itself in exquisite sweetness, probably due to the sandalwood, which fascinates me, and other unlisted notes. Surprisingly, it’s the one that lingers longest on my skin from the Parfums Signature collection; I can even smell it after a shower, which is rare for its siblings. It sounds more feminine, but as Coquita says, it’s ideal for a man in spring-summer. I liked it a lot, since I’m not a big fan of florals, and it blends wonderfully with my skin. It’s an elegant and simple creation from an old house that today goes hand in hand with Jean-Claude Ellena.
