  It’s a rich, warm, and fresh scent all at once. I like the spicy touch, curious because I don’t usually wear them, but it’s well balanced. It smells best when it dries down. I notice a resemblance to Armani Code Profumo, perhaps due to the spices. On the downside, it’s less long-lasting than I thought, with moderate-to-low sillage, which disappointed me a bit. Still, at 18€ for 100ml it’s a good option for daily wear. My final rating is 7.5.

  Ein reichhaltiger, warmer und doch frischer Duft. Ich liebe den würzigen Akzent, was für mich ungewöhnlich ist, da ich normalerweise keine sehr würzigen Parfums trage, hier aber ist er perfekt ausbalanciert. Am besten gefällt er mir, wenn er getrocknet ist; dann sitzt er am schönsten. Mir kommt ein gewisser Ähnlichkeit mit Armani Code Profumo vor, vielleicht wegen dieses würzigen Notes, weiß ich nicht genau. Auf der anderen Seite scheint er weniger haltbar zu sein, als ich erwartet habe; die Duftwolke ist moderat, fast schwach, und das hat mich etwas enttäuscht. Trotzdem lohnt er sich für den Alltag zu 18 € für 100 ml. Meine Gesamtnote, alles zusammen betrachtet, ist eine 7,5.

  I wanted to try Gods Night because Gucci II is hard to find and expensive. The moment I sprayed it I thought it was the same liquid. The notes don’t add up for me: the cardamomo seems to be brown sugar and gives it the spicy touch. There are citrus notes but I don’t know which ones. There’s some woodiness, but it’s not vetiver. Clearly there’s a lot of undeclared tea. The difference is a sour fruity touch when it dries down, like an unripe fig. I like the scent,

Clearly there’s a lot of undeclared tea. The difference is a sour fruity touch when it dries down, like an unripe fig. I like the scent, but the projection is poor and it lasts only three and a half hours. If it weren’t for that performance, I’d buy it; it’s a warm, nice green spice. What a pity.

  Es war 2006 und Gucci hatte zwei Düfte, die ich liebte: Gucci I und Gucci II. Ich kaufte den ersten und dachte an den zweiten, aber aus irgendeinem Grund hatte ich am Ende nur eine Probe. Als ich erfuhr, dass beide aus dem Sortiment genommen wurden, fiel mir die Stimmung. Ich fand Gucci I gleich bei Bentley for Men Absolute, und seit ich gelesen hatte, dass Gods Night die Gucci II widerspiegelt, suchte ich ihn und fand ihn für 10 € pro 100 ml. Unglaublicher Kauf! Beim ersten Sprühen: ufff, ja, das ist Gucci II! Was für ein Hochgefühl. Jetzt bleibt nur noch die Haltbarkeit zu prüfen; der Duft ist toll, süß aber nicht aufdringlich, nicht zu stark und sehr angenehm…

  I used to use this years ago because people said it was Gucci II Pour Homme. The truth is, it’s worlds away from that elegance. I bought it and gave it to a friend within two weeks. It smells of spices and wood, but it’s artificial and overdone. The sugary cardamomo dominates for two hours and then it becomes flat. It doesn’t stand out anywhere and for 10€ there are better options at Avon. Sad performance and zero longevity. If you’re looking for an elixir, this isn’t for you.

  Hi Adry_slim. Are you from Spain? Where did you buy it? A long time ago I searched based on the review that it’s similar to Gucci II but couldn’t find it. I still have the 20ml Gucci II tucked away like gold in a safe.

  Ich habe diese Duftnote zum letzten Mal vor langer Zeit verwendet, angezogen von Kommentaren, die behaupteten, dass Gucci II Pour Homme das Vorbild für Nikos sei. Ehrlich gesagt entfernt er sich weit von seiner edlen Natur und seinem Image. Ich kaufte ihn und schenkte ihn nach zwei Wochen einem Nachbarn. Er ist leicht würzig und holzig, aber nichts Besonderes; wirkt künstlich und wird übertrieben gelobt. Für etwa zwei Stunden dominiert Kardamom, zu dick mit Zucker versetzt, ohne nennenswerte Entwicklung, danach wird er flach und langweilig. Es ist ein Duft ohne große Ansprüche zu einem annehmbaren Preis, ja. Aber er wird dich weder in einem Pub (als es noch Nachtleben gab) abends noch im Büro hervorstechen lassen, und preislich sollte er nicht über 10 Euro liegen. Es gibt viel bessere Angebote von Avon. Die Haltbarkeit ist enttäuschend, die Langlebigkeit hätte besser sein können; meiner Meinung nach ist er absolut überflüssig. Wenn du aber gerade dies gelesen hast und immer noch glaubst, es sei ein Elixier, dann sei doch gerne dabei.

  Hi Adry_slim. Thanks, I didn’t know about that website and searched for it in vain. It’s cheap and much better quality than where you bought yours. I’m going to try the Hanae Mori, although after reading Jerry Drake’s review I’m scared of regretting it; he knows a lot about perfumes and sometimes we perceive notes differently. The regular Nikos also doesn’t last long, but I grabbed it for 9.50€ and bought two bottles which made it worthwhile. I’ll check out the website.

  It was 2006 and I loved the Gucci I and II. I bought the first one and then only managed to get a sample of the second. When I found out they were discontinued, I was devastated. I found the Gucci I equivalent in Bentley For Men Absolute. When I learned that Gods Night reflected the Gucci II, I searched for it and found it for 10€ for 100ml, an incredible deal. The moment I sprayed it I thought: ‘It’s Gucci II!’ What a rush. Now I just hope to test its longevity; the scent is great, sweet but not intrusive, very pleasant.

  Hi @arkay, I’ve been wearing this since 8 AM and it’s still going strong at 4 PM. A real gem for 10€, projects without being overwhelming and lasts for hours. I love it so much I’ve already bought three bottles, even though the official notes don’t quite match what it smells like.

  Hi @arkay, I’m from Spain and found it on Amazon for 10.40€. Now it’s up to 70€ from the same seller and it’s not even on the Nikos website anymore, I think they’ve discontinued it. I’ve read that the Hanae Mori HIM is very similar.
